From the consumer unit to the last socket
A well-done electrical installation is one you never see or hear. A rushed one shows up as tripping breakers, warm sockets and extension leads running through the whole house.
We work on new builds and on renovations of houses and flats: we run the circuits, fit the consumer unit, sockets and lighting, and leave you a clear diagram of what we did. Since we also handle gates and garage doors, powering them fits naturally into the same job.

New build or renovation
On a house under construction we come in after the brickwork and before the plaster: we agree with you where the sockets, switches and lights go, then run the circuits. That is when an extra socket costs almost nothing — after plastering, it costs a day's work and a wall to redo.
On renovations we look at what is there first. Some circuits can stay, others cannot. We tell you clearly what needs replacing and why, without rewiring the whole house just because it is easier for us.
The consumer unit
Plenty of houses around here still have old screw-in fuses and no residual current protection at all. A new consumer unit, with a breaker on every circuit and RCD protection, protects you, not just the cables.
We split the circuits logically — sockets, lighting, kitchen, bathroom, outdoors — and label them. When something trips you know exactly what and where, without flicking them all back one by one.
Old aluminium wiring
Blocks of flats and houses built up to the 1990s often have aluminium cabling. Aluminium oxidises at the joints and runs warm, especially now that a kitchen runs the oven, hob and washing machine at the same time.
Not every old installation has to be ripped out. We check it, tell you what is urgent and what can wait, and whatever gets redone is redone in copper, sized for what you actually use today.
Yard, gates and garage
An automatic gate or a motorised garage door needs power where it is mounted. We run buried cable across the yard in protective conduit, on its own circuit from the consumer unit.
At the same time you can add driveway lighting, an outdoor socket or power for a security camera. The trench only gets dug once.

Do you take on small jobs, like a socket or a breaker that keeps tripping?
Yes. Fault finding and small jobs are usually booked within one to three working days. If you are left with no power in the house, we try to get there the same day.
Can the house be rewired without breaking open every wall?
Partly, yes. Where old conduit exists the new cables are pulled through it, and some runs can go surface-mounted in trunking. Where there is no other way, channels are cut — we tell you beforehand where and how many, so you know what is coming.
How long does rewiring a flat take?
For a two- or three-room flat, usually three to five working days, depending on how much is redone and how many channels need cutting. Plastering and painting come after us.
Do you handle the supply connection and the meter?
The supply connection and the meter belong to the distribution operator. We handle everything after the meter: the feed, the consumer unit and the circuits in the house, and we tell you what to request from the operator.
Do I get anything in writing at the end?
Yes, a diagram of the consumer unit showing each circuit and what it feeds. It helps anyone who works on the installation after us — including you, when a breaker trips.
